    Characteristics

    Conforming to MIL-PRF-83363 requirements, the outstanding characteristics of this grease are its operating temperature range (-65ºF to 350ºF), its extreme pressure and anti-wear properties, and its ability to function in heavily loaded gear boxes and transmissions without excessive heat buildup of temperature. This grease was developed for lubricating helicopter transmissions, screw actuators, fine pitch gear trains and servo mechanisms. It is also used in aircraft windshield wiper motor gearboxes. Cost effective industrial uses for this lubricant are increasing rapidly as indicated by the following partial list of applications.

    Applications

    Stepping motor drive - excellent adherence and lubricity coupled with long life eliminating severe maintenance problems in a large telescope drive mechanism.

    Missile guidance controls - long shelf life, high lubricity, and seal compatibility.

    Ball screw actuators - required high lubricity, high load capability, seal compatibility, and low start run torques at -65 ºF.

    Conforming to MIL-PRF-83261 requirements, the outstanding qualities of Tribolube-2N is its wide operating temperature range, extreme pressure and anti-wear characteristics, non-migratory nature, low foreign and/or opaque particle content, high resistance to microwave energy, and its compatibility with plastic and elastomeric seals. Tribolube-2NMS maintains the same physical properties as Tribolube-2N but is specially formulated with MoS2 to enhance its already excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear properties. Tribolube-2NWS maintains the same physical properties as Tribolube-2N but is specially formulated with a special extreme pressure additive to enhance its already excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear properties.

    Applications

    Aircraft actuators, gears, gimbal rings, oscillation bearings, antifriction and plain spherical bearings. It is especially suitable for use in applications using miniature bearings. Blower motors, motor generators, plastic clutches and gears, servo motors, microwave ovens, speedometer cables, motorcycle and automotive distributors, typewriters, business machines, etc. Other applications include subfractional horsepower gear motors, camera drive systems, microswitch assemblies, reduction gears, and scientific instruments.

    Characteristics

    This special purpose grease containing over 20 % molybdenum disulfide was designed for use in the very heavily loaded swing wing pivot bearings in the F-111 aircraft. Tribolube-5 no longer conforms to the FMS-1071 specifications.

    Applications

    This grease was especially designed for heavily loaded journal and plain spherical bearings. It is also recommended for use in heavily loaded sliding applications at high or low temperatures. It has provided exceptional service in bucket loader pivot pins, greatly extending pin life.

    Tribolube-26N is a wide temperature range, extreme pressure, anti-wear, antirust, non-migrating grease. It has a low foreign and/or opaque particle count and a high resistance to micro wave energy. This grease is capable of performing at temperatures as high as 450 ºF for long durations. The base material for Tribolube-26N, Tribolube-2N meets the performance requirements of MIL-PRF-83261.

Tribolube-64 is available with EP agents using the designation of MS or SW, or rust inhibitors using the following designations, RPA, RPB, RPC.
